Since the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, Cycling has been elevated to a high status sport. Chris Hoy dominated the cycling events and as we all remember, came back with three gold medals. Bradley Wiggins, Rebecca Romero and Nicola Cooke also added to the stats, collecting their own Gold Medals. Britain also claimed four Silver and two Bronze Medals giving Team GB and the whole of Britain cause for elated celebrations.
Another top name in cycling is Lance Armstrong, seven times winner of the Tour de France and after three years in retirement, it is claimed that he will be coming out of retirement to race in the 2009 Tour de France with the aim of winning his eighth. What are your thoughts? Is the tour de France better for not having this seven times winner commanding the race?
