Boxing

"Smokin' Joe" Frazier, Muhammad Ali and "Big George" Foreman, all names synonymous with boxing. These guys are true legends of their art but it's highly unlikely that you would have seen them fight apart from seeing George Foreman in his latter fights which were not his best or via old snippets on the TV, unless you are of a certain age. Could the Super middleweight Joe Calzaghe from Wales who's record stands at 41 wins and a staggering 31 KO's be added to this wall of fame when he retires after his fight with Roy Jones Jnr this year, 2008.

And today we still have a plethora of legendary boxers in the making like Floyd Mayweather, a Welterweight from the United States with 36 wins and no losses to his name. The Mexican Marco Antonio Barrera, a Super featherweight with 61 wins under his belt and Ricky Hatton, the Light welterweight from England who has attained 40 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws and 30 KOs are also at the top of their game. Then there's Winky Wright, Manny Pacquiao and Oscar de la Hoya and indeed, too many more to mention.

Have you been lucky enough to watch a major bout in Las Vegas, who was fighting, what was the outcome and did you agree with the judgement? Do you follow international boxing scene on the television? We would love to hear about your boxing thoughts.
